Phonecast

Terms & Refunds

Last updated: 6 August 2026

The short version: you pay $29 once, use Phonecast on up to four of your Macs, and if it doesn't work out you have 14 days to get your money back, no questions asked.

What you're buying

Phonecast is a Mac app that streams your Mac's audio to the free Phonecast iPhone app so you can hear your mix on a real phone speaker while you work. Your $29 one-time purchase buys a personal license to use the Mac app, unlocked by the account you create at purchase. It includes:

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live (16 or older in most places) to buy Phonecast. It is a license to use the software, not a transfer of ownership of it. It's for you (or your studio's seat), not for redistribution, resale, or sharing your account with others. You can move between your own Macs freely; you can remove a registered Mac from your account at any time in the app.

Refunds: 14 days, no questions

If Phonecast doesn't do what you need, email support@phonecast.app within 14 days of purchase from the email you bought with, and we'll refund the full amount. No forms, no reasons required.

A refund ends your license: the Mac app locks again on your account once the refund is processed. Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe and typically arrive within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. This policy doesn't limit any non-waivable statutory rights you have where you live (for example under EU or UK consumer law).

Requirements

Your account

Your purchase is tied to the email you buy with, so use a real address you control. Keep your password to yourself: the four-Mac limit is enforced per account, and we may flag or suspend accounts that appear to be shared or resold. If you forget your password you can reset it any time from the sign-in screen or at phonecast.app/reset.

Acceptable use

Warranty and liability

Phonecast is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free on every setup, and to the maximum extent the law allows we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is capped at what you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Phonecast is a monitoring aid; mix decisions are yours.

Payments & taxes

Purchases are handled by Stripe as merchant of record: Stripe is the seller of record for the payment, collects and remits applicable sales tax and VAT, and emails your receipt. We never see your card details. The $29 price includes applicable tax where required. Your license and these terms are with us (see "Who we are" below), and our 14-day refund promise applies regardless of anything in Stripe's own terms.

Changes

If we change these terms we'll update the date above; material changes will be noted in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
